i agree here with Roxanna. we have a saying taht taste and smell are personal

choices. you can make a rule taht no one goes out the door without breakfast,

but you can't decide for someon else what to have for breakfast.

that is how it is done in my house. I believe that is one of teh reasons why

my kids are willing ot taste new things, tehy always have the choice to repeat

or reject..

i guess i've just been lucky. My kids will try anything - at least once.

if they like it - great! if they don't like it - they know they can spit it

out. i just tell them they have to eat some veggies - like if they have a

hot dog for lunch - they will eat 6 baby carrots with ranch dressing. they

both love salads. but don't think they are over here begging for the greens.

hahaha bradley loves steak soup (looks more like stew) from the Lone Star

Steak House - and that is loaded with vegetables. they also eat peas and

carrots in fried rice. and chicken noodle soup with the vegetables. and

bradley hates corn, i don't make him eat it. so i'm flexible - it's not

like i have a funnel and i fill it with veggies and make them " choke it down

" LOL!!!

Actually currently has a way out of eating those nasty veggies!

And fruits. In fact we go back to see the doctor today. We are

running some tests. And I'm keeping a food journal. It looks like his

problems may be a direct result of fructose though. We've had to take

away all juice, fruits, and some veggies(corn in particular). Anyways

I'll know more later. I'm actually crossing my fingers that this is

the cause. Some of the other possibilities would mean a very radical

diet. Anywho I'm getting off topic... a

Personally I think the kid may be on to something! :) I'm not a big

fan of the place! I know it's not so funny when it's your child. I

laugh only because my kids do the same type of things. a

The only way I ever was able to eat peas (even now) is swallowing themwhole

like vitamins or tylenol! And I still hate them today. its a texture and taste

thing . Can't stand 'squishy' vegtables. Ijust push whatever ones they will

eat and don't wory about it.

This made me chuckle reading about vegetables. This summer on vacation we

went through town, ND and got to see White Cloud, the only living

albino buffalo. Yesterday with supper I made the broccoli, cauliflower,

carrot mix. told his Dad I made carrots, broccoli and and albino

broccoli. He likes them cooked and not raw, but carrots raw and not cooked.

You know what is really sad is that it might just work. Now just imagine

them at school with a school lunch talking about their megapea attack.

My kids eat frozen veggies—peas, corn, green beans. My husbands cousin did

it with her son when he was 1 year old and my daughter started then too.

They are 9 and 6 and both still eat them that way. It is also much easier

than cooking it!

Beats me. I know mine teeth do just drinking cold water. A lot of times by

the time they eat it, it has thawed. The do like chewing on ice, though....
