Regardless, clinical lab data show that someautism spectrum kids have excessive levels of nickel and/or cadmium. One of the webpages or the news article described how the metals can be recovered. Perhaps the rest are used as " fertilizer " known as toxic sludge. And if we don't recycle our batteries, we're contributing to additional toxic-metal leekage from landfills.
