Guest guest
I can strongly recommend three restaurants in Tucson and Palm Springs for the receptiveness and seeming knowledge concerning celiac disease and gluten. In Tucson, the Arizona Inn and Terracotta were very helpful. Arizona Inn even trotted out GF bread! Arizona Inn says they have many celiac guests and plans in advance for their visits. In Palm Springs, L'escargot seemed on top of things gluten-related. H.

Guest guest
Hi, I lived in Tucson for a couple of years recently and was diagnosed there. I recommend a coffeehouse/eatery called Bentley's. It's just off the campus on Speedway, west of the intersection with . I spent a lot of time eating and studying there and they are really good about answering questions about food allergies--and many of the workers know a lot about gluten because I spent so much time there. I remember also that when I once at at the upscale Mexican restaurant downtown, Poca Cosa, that the waiter knew about gluten. Also, the Wild Oats supermarket in town is pretty good - they had part of an aisle devoted to gluten free stuff. Also, if you like Mexican and don't mind eating at chains, there is Chipotle and there are at least two central locations in Tucson. They go over exactly what is gluten free on their Web site -- most everything but flour tortillas. I've eaten there quite a bit and have had no problems. happy travels, L² Any questions?
