I'd never even heard of Stax! However, I did a quick Google for "Stax gluten" and came up with fritolay.com, which says that all flavors are gluten-free, made on dedicated lines. Of course, you should check for yourself, always. I'm relaying this just to show how easy it can be to get information directly from the manufacturer -- sometimes. Sometimes it's not easy at all, of course.

That's why I was curious as to where that information came from. I eat plain Stax everyday. They're awesome with marmite :o)On 11/10/06,

Doesn't say that on my label. However it does say that on Pringles.

Are you sure it wasn't Pringles you were eating? :o)

Actually here are the ingredients labels of the original flavor for

both. Also, the Stax are labeled as 'naturally free of gluten':

PRINGLES:

INGREDIENTS: DRIED POTATOES, VEGETABLE OIL (CONTAINS ONE OR MORE OF

THE FOLLOWING: CORN OIL, COTTONSEED OIL, SOYBEAN OIL, AND/OR SUNFLOWER

OIL), RICE FLOUR, WHEAT STARCH, MALTODEXTRIN, SALT AND DEXTROSE.

CONTAINS WHEAT INGREDIENTS.

STAX:

INGREDIENTS: DEHYDRATED POTATOES, CORN OIL AND/OR COTTONSEED OIL, FOOD

STARCH (UNMODIFIED AND PREGELATINIZED), SALT, SUGAR, MONO0 AND

DIGLYCERIDES, DEXTROSE, AND SOY LECITHIN.

CONTAINS A SOY INGREDIENT.
