I'd never even heard of Stax! However, I did a quick Google for "Stax gluten" and came up with fritolay.com, which says that all flavors are gluten-free, made on dedicated lines. Of course, you should check for yourself, always. I'm relaying this just to show how easy it can be to get information directly from the manufacturer -- sometimes. Sometimes it's not easy at all, of course.

Before eating the Stax, I took a look at the label. It said "wheat starch" right on the label. So if the website is saying all their products are gluten free...I don't know.

Doesn't say that on my label. However it does say that on Pringles.

Are you sure it wasn't Pringles you were eating? )

Actually here are the ingredients labels of the original flavor for

both. Also, the Stax are labeled as 'naturally free of gluten':

PRINGLES:

INGREDIENTS: DRIED POTATOES, VEGETABLE OIL (CONTAINS ONE OR MORE OF

THE FOLLOWING: CORN OIL, COTTONSEED OIL, SOYBEAN OIL, AND/OR SUNFLOWER

OIL), RICE FLOUR, WHEAT STARCH, MALTODEXTRIN, SALT AND DEXTROSE.

CONTAINS WHEAT INGREDIENTS.

STAX:

INGREDIENTS: DEHYDRATED POTATOES, CORN OIL AND/OR COTTONSEED OIL, FOOD
