Environmental exposure to treated wood is the most common form I believe.

,

A LOT of our kids pick up a lot of arsenic. One major source is decks made

of green-treated lumber, also ant traps, and other environmental sources.

My son is a high arsenic kid as well. By the way, it seems to chelate out

pretty slowly.

Is there any information available about how much of this stuff NT kids pick up?

I guess no one really even thinks about it if the kids don't reflect major

neurological problems, but I wonder if it might be cumulative and passed on from

parent to child. In the case of our children, they've hit the threshold whereas

other children may not have. If you have any suggestions where I might look, I

would appreciate it. Beka

I don't think you can tell unless you chelate and test afterwards. Our

son's arsenic levels didn't start rising until after a month of chelation.

They were HIGH after that for a long time but are slowly dropping. Oh yeah,

I had forgotten about the arsenic they add to chicken feed. & ^%$%^! What

are they thinking??? So get organic chicken if you can. One article I read

said the chicken has three times the amount allowed in our water!

Arsenic is used in pesticides, particularly those used on golf courses,

orchards, and cotton fields. It's in the water. It's used as stain retardant

on upholstery, carpet, carseats, strollers, and formerly to weatherize lumber in

the form of CCA (copper chromiated arsenate).
