Talk about never having to take a pill again! or, something like

that. If Anyone beleves in Alternative medicine they should do some

reaseach on CranioSacral. I have made a group about this and

there are sevral other CS groups on . If anyone wants to learn

more please email me. here is just a quick discription of my group:

For about seven months now I have had CranioSacral therapy that has

helped me with my balance, hearing and speech. This form of

alternative medicine was founded about 40 years ago by E.

Upledger, an osteopathic physician who did his clinical research and

was professor of biomechanics at Michigan State University from 1975-

1983. Some of the medical problems that have been effectively treated

by craniosacral therapy include: central nervous system

disorders, motor coordination, chronic fatigue, depression, ADHD,

Autism, migrane, back and neck pain, and other learning and physical

disabilities. I hope you take this opportunity to learn more about

CranioSacral. The Upledger Institute is a well-known and well

respected institution in the medical community. I hope you will read

about it and consider it's methods as an alternative sometimes to

traditional medicine. Please let me know if you have any questions

about my experience. Thank you for reading this and I hope it can

help.

Hi

I am new to CranioSacral. We have only been doing it since Nov. with pretty

good results. Speech a little clearer and clamer each time it is done.

  • 3 years later...

I took my son as a small child at age 6 for cranial sacral once a week for a

year or two and it got rid of his constant headache after a year or more of

treatment. The headache went away for years then came back during puberty and

resolved the second time through chelation.

Cranial sacral is a very mainstream treatment and many chiropractors do it. My

son was a forceps delivery and he had a lot of head trauma from his forceps

birth. Cranial sacral helped with that.

The more frequent at the beginning the better. The idea is that the

body is " holding " injury and restrictions in the flow of CSF as a

memory. The more work done all in a short period of time, the less

likely the body will revert to " old habits " . The great thing about

CST is that once it's done it's done. A tune-up every six-twelve

months is all you need.

Make sure your practitioner _specializes_ in CST, full-time, and

mostly with children. If they are certified (CST) or diplomates

(CST-D) under the Upledger system

(http://www.iahp.com/pages/search/index.php), you will have a lot

more luck than with some random massage or physiotherapist who took

one class.

And if you want to know if it's helping your child, have a few

sessions yourself to understand how it completely changes your body.

I think doing a few sessions on yourself is an excellent rec.  I still wish I

had taken the time and money to do this... and then I would have had a point of

reference for what it was doing for my son.

I have since used myself as the " control " for many other types of

testing/supplements.  I think it's a good idea, in general... and then you

understand what your child is experiencing too (on some level).
