Guest guest
Hi All: I was wondering if any of you have run across this problem. My son had 2 amalgams removed last Wednesday by a DAMS Dentist who used the DAM and oxygen and he did wonderfully. Now he has been complaining since then of tooth pain in the lower back part of his mouth where nowork was done. At first I thought it might be from the shot then I thought his bite might need to be adjusted as the tooth above was worked on. Brought him back to dentist yesterday and she even took an xray and there is no cavitiy, she barely adjusted his bite as she said it was really good. Now he is a tooth grinder and she believes he may have TMJ but it is so coincidental and suggested he be fitted for a night guard, which I know he will not wear. He actually chewed mine up years ago. I am a tooth grinder also. He came home from school today and complained about his tooth again and a headache. He seems to be sensitive to cold also. He got very aggressive due to the pain he was in. I ended up giving him aspirin free excedrin and he layed down for a little while and was in much better spirits. Have any of you had an experience like this? Thanks for any and all help.
