Guest guest
Cool! I'll put in for my request at the local grocery stores.I tried Bard's Tale, which is pretty much available at all the Bay Area BevMo's, and Ramapo Valley Passover Honey Beer, which I have found on occasion at Whole Foods and Nob Hill. Bard's Tale is not bad at all. Ramapo Honey Beer has an insipid, flowery taste that I don't care for. Looking forward to more options. Found these links:http://www.natdistributors.com/Redbridge.pdfhttp://www.ratebeer.com/beer/redbridge/67279/ http://www.brewblog.com/.shared/image.html?/photos/uncategorized/redbridge_1.jpegI've been consulting with the good folks at http://morebeer.com on ideas for GF homebrew recipes. They are now carrying white sorghum malt and I'm trying to figure out how to approximate a pacific northwest pale ale recipe. Wish me luck... -Joe-- Joe http://sanbeiji.com/ On 12/19/06, Isaiah <isaiah.benjamin@...> wrote: Hi all,So this week Anheuser-Busch released a new beer, called Redbridge. Itis brewed from sorghum and is gluten-free. It won't be mass-marketedlike their other beers but it is apparently the first beer to be truly nationally marketed. On other GF bulletin boards and listservs I'veheard some Whole Foods will be carrying them. I wanted to request thatlocal folks ask their local grocery stores (both mainstream and health food specialty stores) to pick up this new beer... It would be greatto have it available locally. And if you see it on the shelves, pleasedo let us know!Isaiah--Come visit my food blog... Guest guest
I had Bard's Tale at Risotteria in NYC (restaurant that specializes in GF food) and it was very tasty. I don't like light or overly sweet beers so I don't think that I'd like the Ramapo beer. I had no idea you could find Bard's Tale locally - I will keep my eye out for it next time I'm at BevMo.
