Guest guest
Chuck: I thought it was vitiligo also. But then I remembered that my sister has vitiligo and although it is more prominent in the summer when she tans, it does not leave in the winter. Any autoimmune condition, whether vitiligo or otherwise is not necessarily a good thing. Indicates a less than optimum immune response that could spell trouble in other more insidious ways. [ ]Dana/was: Re: vitiligo/nutritional approaches Vitiligo disappears just like every other Caucasian looses their tan over the winter. It isn't gone, it just isn't as noticeable. Blacks don't turn lighter during the winter, which is why it is very noticeable, and actually painful on some. Vitiligo is an autoimmune response that has no adverse physical problems associated with it. I have had it for decades, it gets a little worse every year, so now I don't even try to get a tan. Is that a BAD thing? > > Our little one has had vitiligo which shows up every summer. Guest guest
If you knew the answer, why did you ask the question? [ ] [ Chuck/was:]Dana/was: Re: vitiligo/nutritional approaches Autoimmune responses can't be cured with vitamins or supplements either though. Vitiligo is non-damaging and non-life threatening, from my endocrinologist. > > > Our little one has had vitiligo which shows up every summer. > This > > summer there is just one little spot on her leg that has not > tanned. > > > > > > Here are supplement ideas for that > > > > http://www.kroger.com/hn/Concern/Vitiligo.htm > > > > > > >>A trial of methyl b12 (oral) caused aggression after two weeks. > > > > > > Did you try giving it with folic acid? > > > > Dana > > > > > > > > > > > > ======================================================= > >
