Guest guest
Seamaidan399 (name?): Dr. Gray is one of the best doctors in the country for Celiac Disease. Dr. Pyle also specializes in the disease too or might be doing training under Dr. Gray (she would have to clarrify). I just met with both in Decemeber and they are both great. Either way you are in good hands and very lucky to have an appointment with both of them. An hour is no worries. Just go and you will be fine. If this means anything, I dropped about $1000 over my xmas break (I am a PhD student who moved from Mountain View, CA to NC) to fly to CA to go see Dr. Gray for a follow-up visit and biopsy. Your lucky to only be an hour away and have such great care so close to you. Good luck and have fun, --------------------------------------------------------- A. Anyway, the woman >scheduling it through the health center is a bit clueless and she >called me this morning saying that she had made me an appointment >with Dr. Gray, who she said was " not " a celiac specialist (but >doesn't he do all the research with celiac???), and she was >insistent that if they didn't have copies of my biopsies that they >couldn't schedule me with " the celiac specialist " , which i assume >means Gail Pyle. Do i need to call the clinic and insist on seeing Gail, >or do I have to/ want to get screened by Dr. Gray anyway? Or is he >the normal celiac doctor that I should be seeing anyway? I really >DON'T need to be diagnosed again, obviously, just want to do >the " follow up " stuff that they say is so important. They also >scheduled me for 8:30am, which in my book is somewhat like >scheduling an appointment for 4am... but then I'm on a freaky grad >student schedule and it takes me an hour to get to Stanford.
