Guest guest
Hi Rose You know, Sam had this with GSE/Yeast/Yeast die off and I never did figure it out. However, since we started loading dose (finally... been struggling) of EFA's, we use Eye Q which is high EPA some DHA and some EPO with Vit E, it hasn't happened again. BUt it always did correspond with yeats and/or treatment of the same. Not helping much am I? GSE slows down Phase 1 liver enzymes, I've heard particularly to avoid SSRI meds, Prozac type family of meds. Guest guest
Also no GSE with stimulant meds, such as Adderall or Ritalin.

It sounds like a reaction to the GSE. You might want to try oil of oregano or other yeast killer. > > Secondly I remember reading a precaution about avoiding GSE if the > child is on something else, but can't remember what that something > else is. SSRI mediation, like Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil, etc. Dana

Guest guest
Your child could be citrus allergic or intolerant. Some people cannot tolerate citrus of any type (orange, lemon or grapefruit). Doe your child tolerate orange or lemon? Other than GSE, you can use Oil of Oregano, garlic or Olive Leaf extract for treating yeast. -- Rima Regas Mom to Leah, age 7 (AS, DSI and APD) http://www.sensoryintegrationhelp.com On 7/11/05, joymroscoe@... <joymroscoe@...> wrote: > Hi Dana > > I decided to try again, and this week end she had 1 drop daily for 2 days > on > your advice. Hi Dana Thanks for this, I have stopped the GSE and her skin has cleared up almost immediately. I had wondered about Syndrome. I think I am dealing with an extremely sensitive child. Do you think Syndrome could be caused by the actual die off of the toxins as opposed to the GSE?? I have some yeast aid that I would like to try (her gut is a mess), but am wary that it is the toxins causing the reaction and not the product used. Is this a feasible concern? Many thanks again, Joy

I don't think that is likely, but I suppose it is a possibility. >>I have some yeast aid that I would like > to try (her gut is a mess), but am wary that it is the toxins causing the > reaction and not the product used. > > Is this a feasible concern? You might want to start with probiotics or Candex. Those would cause a lot less die off toxins, so you would probably have a lesser reaction to deal with if you used those and it was the toxins which were causing the problem. Then if she does not have a skin problem after several days of using those, consider a low dose of the yeast aid. If that works okay, then slowly increase the dose. Activated charcoal works to absorb die off toxins, so you can give that about 30-45 minutes after you give any yeast killer, see if that helps also.
