Guest guest
I don't know. The little girl is from China and is 14 mo. Old. I'll ask if they would test for that. If not, are there any other suggestions? M RE: [ ] friend must get MMR Will they accept titers? Ensure that these do not contain thimerasol (normally they would not, but be sure) 3. Ensure that they do not contain live viruii. Guest guest
What about the vitamin A that I read that was used to treat measles? Thank You, M Re: [ ] friend must get MMR On Jun 24, 2005, at 13:40, Matt & wrote: > I also have a friend who has to get the MMR shot for her daughter > Her husband is military and they have to get this or they can lose > medical and who knows what else. My son received his MMR vaccine when he was 14 months and was later diagnosed with autism at age 2. We later did blood tests and found that he had grossly elevated measles antibodies, which suggests virus-induced autoimmunity. (Mercury also had a role in his autism through other thimerosal containing vaccines he received). I would personally look at getting the religious exemption if possible. I would request the *written* military policy that requires this. If in fact is does require it, I would wait until the very last age that is acceptable [for example, try to put it off until the child is age 18months.] >>I read something that said Measles was treated with > lots of vitamin A Yes, give lots of vitamin A before and for a few weeks after the measles shot. Also might be good to give olive leaf extract as anti-viral for the other virus/es. >>and I know if she can get the vaccinations individually, > spread out through time it would be better. Yes. Guest guest
If she's adopted there's a chance she got double vaccinated already....one in China and again in the US if they didn't have complete records from China. Guest guest
I know this is an old post but I just was going through trying to delete some of my 4700 messages! My husband is military also, AF, and we haven't had any trouble not getting our kids shots. We got several letters from the base hospital requesting that my son be brought in and I simply ignored them. I never heard anything from my husband about them contacting him. What ever became of this? I hate that people are bullied into getting shots. I wonder if that is what they were really doing. The military has taught it's members to obey unconditionally. Someone may be using this, saying they will get into trouble if they don't comply. I did see that there is a group for natural parenting for military members. She may be able to get advice from them. When my daughter was born they didn't have any issue with me not fiving her the birth Hep B. They really didn't even question me about it. Probably fiqured the peds would have a fit later when she started with her well baby appointments. We moved since then and are now under BCBS with the reserves. Hope all is well. danasview <danasview@...> wrote: > I also have a friend who has to get the MMR shot for her daughter Her > husband is military and they have to get this or they can lose medical and > who knows what else. Guest guest
, Thank you for the information. It’s never too late! I’ll pass it along to her. I think she is trying to wait it out with them also. Take care, M Re: [ ] Re: friend must get MMR I know this is an old post but I just was going through trying to delete some of my 4700 messages!
