Guest guest
Just thought I'd mention that today DH and I went to Socca Oven and Cafe Gratitude for dessert! At Socca Oven we had the daily special (wild mushroom and broccolini) and Scallop Soccas. I especially enjoyed the chickpea crepe- think I'd order other toppings next time. The scallops were good but they were overpowered by the fennel/ onion flavor, and overall it was bland. (IMO) It was so refreshing to be able to order ANY DESSERT at Cafe Gratitude- I got tiramisu (1st time i've ordered THAT at a restaurant!) and DH got the key lime pie. The cashew cream and the chocolate/ espresso mousse in the tiramisu was divine! Although almond " cake " is less my thing, i think. Next time I'll try the cheesecake or a mousse. So rich and delicious! DH's pie was also good, although I'm not a key lime girl. We also tried the very interesting cold brewed coffee. We drove all the way from Mountain View, and it was a very enjoyable and gf outing. Thank you for the recommendations, all! > Socca Oven is so fabulous, I went there last weekend. The " cheesecake " at > Cafe Gratitude right down the street from there is to die for (vegan, raw, > dairy-free, wheat-free and soy-free! wow!)
