All of this comes from people not reading my book Amalgam Illness:

Diagnosis and Treatment closely enough, then talking as if they came

up with the consideration.

I talk about this problem in the book - which is the first place it

was mentioned and discussed - and about how to avoid it.

>>WHen do you feel it is safe to begin using ALA, along with other

forms of chelation, like DMPS?

After doing my own research, I thought the potential risks of OTHER

chelators were worse than the potential risks of ALA. So I used ALA

and no other chelators.

high mercury as it is,

So far as I know, we are not concerned as much about the blood having

high levels of mercury, but the brain and other tissues. And I read

frequently here on this list, not to use ALA within about three months

of amalgam removal and/or other mercury exposures, because the mercury

would still be in the blood.

At the end of ALA chelation, my son tolerated all foods and no longer

had any gut yeast issues. So I believe the ALA removed mercury from

the " relevant places " .

My son never did, and his dx is " classic Kanner's autism " , severe, low

functioning.

Mandi, I agree he does plenty, I agree the book is a steal for

the price -- HOWEVER -- I HAVE the book and I thought the

answer Andy gave was confusing and too terse to interpret

-- I have a GUESS as to what he might be referring to -- and

I'm not exactly unfamiliar with his theories.......

good wishes,

Moria

I was not asking questions, just giving my info and opinion. I don't

have time to start reading yet another message board. But thanks for

the info, perhaps it will help someone else.
