Guest guest
I've heard other people post on this list that they thought their kid would never get the socialization thing....and then they did. Improvements usually fade in and out and then one day you just notice the issue is not there anymore. Don't give up...takes longer for some kids. [ ] Re: Chelation and socialization > > I'm just wondering after how many rounds did people see improvement in > socialization with their child. With my son (Asperger's), I saw a difference the very first round. The other thing that helps tremendously with socialization is Houston enzymes. Guest guest
Debi: That's great news! Continued improvement for you and your girl. [ ] Re: Chelation and socialization I agree, with my girl she makes HUGE gains one day and backtracks the next, then jumps even further a few weeks/months later. She does seem to get more verbal and just " with it " within a few hrs after each ALA round, but she also tends to get respiratory-type illnesses when I chelate her, so I have to go slow. She really improved over the summer, when I wasn't chelating but a couple of rounds. I think it was being home for the summer, we didn't do ESY because it sucks here. Everyone has commented on how much she seems to have matured. She just turned 6. If I treated yeast too aggressively he would start wheezing and need a neb. Nell

For my kids, this did not happen until I addressed deficiency issues, which I could not address until chelation because my kids did not tolerate supplements. Guest guest
My daughter, 4, started chelating 4 months ago. Prior to this, she would only socialize with her brother, and sometimes his friends. She would try to be by the other kids at parties, etc., but it was like she didn't know what to do. She would sometimes say " hi " fifteen times and wouldn't stop until they acknowledged her...but then didn't know what to do after that. It was heartbreaking. I'm happy to say that right now that doesn't appear to be a problem. She just started her special needs preschool this week and is asking for friends to come over. Her teacher sent me a note saying the changes in her are remarkable. Granted, Eve would be considered a very mild case of autism (PDD), but she still has those problems. I would say this last 4 months has been amazing. Hope this helps. -------------- Original message -------------- I'm just wondering after how many rounds did people see improvement in socialization with their child. I know everyone is different. I'm curious to see the average, and how far the range is spread. Guest guest
We've seen many improvements right away and my daughter is 11!! Her socialization is probably the best improvement. I do see it fade out some when she is off a round and that worries me a bit for the school year, but overall she is still better " off " than she was before starting so I guess its still a win. She has only been chelating a few rounds (ALA). > > > > I'm just wondering after how many rounds did people see improvement in > > socialization with their child. > > With my son (Asperger's), I saw a difference the very first round.
