Guest guest
Based on Amy's recommendation, I decided to trek up to Cupertino instead of my usual stores of Los Gatos or . Boy am I glad I did! Like Amy, I bought a sandwich with GF bread, and yes, it did crumble, but how nice it was to sit down with my Mum and eat with her!!! I found out the story behind why this store in particular does this and so well! (BTW, the girl behind the counter automatically changed her gloves as soon as I mentioned the GF bread, so consider that possible problem fixed, Amy.) The manager of the dept, , has CD - dx'd about a year and a half ago. And I learned one new thing as well. Whenever the little tags in the deli case mention soy sauce, it is actually WF tamari! This is the only store that does it so far, but it's true and confirmed. It's the only kind they use and there isn't anything else allowed in their kitchen. Of course this is just the fresh deli selections. And their parfaits (sp?) are the only that contain granola that is optional - notice the packaging. Hhhhmmm, what else. Oh, all their salads that contain croutons have the little critters on the side - thus allowing us to eat them! Remember, THIS ONLY APPLIES TO THE CUPERTINO STORE! And says if any of us wishes for WF to carry a product, or has any suggestions, don't hesitate to ask for her. She is also looking for more fresh deli items and fresh prepared items, so please please suggest some. I mentioned mac-n-cheese, and she liked it. I told her I'd get back to her with some thoughts... It makes me so happy to have experiences like these. A sandwich with my Mum...who would have thought it? Thanks for telling me about this WF store, Amy. It made my day.
