Guest guest
Problem is that targeted fatty acid supplementation based on laboratory results is questionable and has not been shown to be valid. Mark Schauss www.carbonbased.com [ ] Re: WAY OT: Alternative health treatments for brain tumors? Hi Kari Great Smokies Labs has a test for fatty acids. Here is the link: https://www.gsdl.com/home/assessments/fattyacids/ They may be able to give you a list of practitioners in your area that use Great Smokies, if you don't know a doctor that does. I believe Blue Cross Blue Shield covered it when I did it; but that was not an HMO plan. I think it is between $200-$300...can't remember exactly. Good luck. Therefore it would mean a test is in > order to determine where the EFA's are in order to balance. Guessing > HMO insurances won't be too thrilled to pay for such a test. Guest guest
Kari, Phew. Tough question. Wish I had an answer but I'm not aware of anything. I will ask around though. Mark [ ] Re: WAY OT: Alternative health treatments for brain tumors? Hi Mark, I know you've worked with a lot of different kinds of cases, wondering if you've ever heard of anything holistically/biomedically based for someone to look into regarding a brain tumor? I have asked my friend for more details that she might have regarding it to see if that helps. I am " assuming " it don't beleive it's cancerous or else they would be pushing/suggesting she go that route of treatment. Currently they said to wait and see what happens. Happened to her last year and she did and the problems (intense headaches) went away, but now they are back. This is probably unrelated, but ironically the issues seemed to arrise at the same time of the year last and this. Thanks, Kari > Problem is that targeted fatty acid supplementation based on laboratory > results is questionable and has not been shown to be valid. > > Mark Schauss > www.carbonbased.com > =======================================================
Guest guest
In 1998 when I was getting acupuncture to tame my tracheal carcinoma, I watched my acupuncture doctor (over the course of several months) shrink the brain tumor of an 18 month old boy. I am always interested in learning more about " other paths to the top of the mountain. " At the time I never suspected I was also mercury poisoned. Although a friend with two different brain cancers (in 1990) was certain her amalgams had contributed to her cancers. Sometimes we can't hear until we can hear and we can't see until we can see. .... Guest guest
Thanks Cristina. I didn't even think of this. But I will say I recently met a very gifted acupuncturist/Chinese doctor and wouldn't have thought about giving her a call. Which also makes me even think of cranial sacral. Theoretically is there is a mass there must be some structural component with the cranial that plays a role. I know of another miracle worker in this area. Thanks again!!! Guest guest
Another route is Ayurveda..Last Fall a British doctor went on ITV Breakfast TV claiming very significant improvements in ovarian cancers, a type which is really difficult to resolve. It turns out this remedy alkalizes the body, something which my doctor had already told my mother to do. Reduce the acidic foods ie dairy, grains and meat!! This destroys the cancer milieu! Sorry can't remember the name of the remedy :-(( [ ] Re: WAY OT: Alternative health treatments for > brain tumors? > > > > Hi Mark, > I know you've worked with a lot of different kinds of cases, > wondering if you've ever heard of anything holistically/biomedically > based for someone to look into regarding a brain tumor?
