I am planning on giving my son the challenge dose of

tddmps for our third month on it. The question is do

give it at bedtime(which is the usual time) or right

before collect the first morning urine. He usually

doesnot urinate during the night. (12 hour urine)

Is there anyone out there who uses dr. buttar and know

what he recommends?????????????????????

Thanks in advance

andSteve B

If you actually want your kid to get better you give TD DMPS every 8

hours or not at all.

Challenge tests are not informative, but testing isn't what makes the

kids get better, proper use of chelators is. Proper use of DMPS is to

give it every 8 hours or more often. This is a fundamental chemical

property of DMPS and is not changed by route of adminsitration or

strongly held views espoused by important doctors.

What is the challenge dose and how much does your son weigh? I suspect you have

read about the high risk of redistribution of toxins from high doses. If not,

please do so.

Andy,

Help! If TD-DMPS is best applied every 8 hours or less, then what

is the optimal dosage? Is it current dosage divided by 3( assuming

8 hours ) or some other method?

What is the schedule to support the more frequent TD-DMPS dosage?

Is it 3 days on and 11 days off, similar to what we were doing when

we were on DMSA?

We were on DMSA/ALA ( 3 days on 11 days off, 3 hour during day and 4

hour application interval at night ) for one year. We moved to TD-

DMPS and have had more success in regards to metal excretion based

on hair and fecal tests. We are currently on TD-DMPS, one day on

and one day off - single dose.

Thanks,

Ralph

Actually Dr Usman is flexible based on the child. She does use Buttar's protocal

for many, but we see her and are on Andy's. I know many others are, as well.

With Usman, you have a choice.

I dunno if this is the case, but perhaps some " free mercury " is

getting picked up by the liver?
