9 months is definitely still okay. My daughter wore a band from age 9 to 12 months with great results. Many babies have been banded at a year or later with great results. I am not much help with the decorating. I never decorated Jenna's.

I have used stickers on my son's helmet, which is starting to come off. The

stickers also have bubbles. Other folks have suggested using modge podge after

you decorate it. I haven't tried it, but perhaps it would help the stickers

adhere better?

My son is over 10 months old and just got his DOC band 2 weeks ago. We were told we should still get a good result. When we went for a check, she said she could already see a slight change. Our band was white and we used decals from blingyourband.com and covered them with mod podge.
