My son is 4 1/2 months old and just got his DOC band on Friday. He used to

sleep through the night. And I mean really sleep. Would go to bed at 8 pm and

sleep till about 6 or 7 am without a peep. He sleeps in a nap nanny because of

reflux but don't know that it is even necesary anymore. We only started it

because at one point he was oxygen dependant after RSV and doctors thought it

may be because of his RSV. Since he got his band he has been ok during the day.

His naps are horrible but does ok if we are out and about, I think the movement

keeps him content. Bed is horrible now though. I tried everything I could

think of last night. Had him on a pillow and in a bean bag chair. I thought,

oh my God I am not going to sleep even if he does because I will worry he will

suffocate but needless to say it didn't work anyhow. I had packed up my swing

because after his Plagio diagnosis I vowed never to use it again. Tonight

however i pulled it out and put him in it. So far, so good. Question though?

Since he is in the band, is the swing ok for his plagio? I don't want to start

any bad habits in regards to his sleep but he WAS a good sleeper and the band

has ruined him in that regards. Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Do they ever get used to sleeping with the band.? I don't think I could sleep

with it on.

Thanks,

Jen
