Guest guest
We got our band for mild/moderate plagio at 12 months and our measurements got to normal. I can still see some plagio up high, but many others do not. My son has a Starband with a great ortho and we kept it on extra long, so far 11 months. Our ortho still monitors and adjusts the band. In addition to the helmet, we've treated aggressively with alternative treatments. We've done chiro/CST, osteopath, and recently PT. We thought our son's neck was fine other than a preference to turn right, but finally went for a PT and to our surprise his PT considers him mildly physically delayed. I interpret this as he was personally delayed since he did not reach any milestones on the late side. I plan to continue with treatment and expect at least a tiny bit more improvement with the head over time. Others have banded past 12 months with results. There was another case on this site who banded with CT at 10 months for moderate right plagio and got to 1mm off after only one band. She followed with osteopath treatments, and signed off our group around 27 months, happy with the results, other than the left eye remaining smaller. He has plagio, with a very flat spot on the right side of his head. No neck trouble though, we did lots of tummy time since he was 2 months and his neck has developed fine. We've been told that since he's already older the correction to his head will not be 100%. Of course I'm beating myself up for not taking him in earlier and just looking for some hope. Anybody start this late and get good results? I appreciate any feedback!
