mouth incisions opened up post op

Hello... I just found this group as I was searching for information

regarding my surgical post-op issues. I can't believe how many people

have been through the same (and worse) that I am going through... I

had a bilateral sagital split osteotomy of the lower jaw with a

genioplasty on 11-3-05... The chromic sutures apparently dissolved in

3 days and all three of my mouth incisions are gaping open inside.. I

saw the OS 2 days ago and he said he had never seen that happen with

all three incisions before. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone else

ever had this happen, and if so, what they did to help them heal

faster. My entire bottom lip and chin is also still completely numb--

is this the norm? How long does it generally take to get feeling in

the lip back?? Thanks to anyone who can help. Good luck to all.
