Just wondering..if a SLD is a very possible outcome of not transecting...why

are surgeons still doin it this way. I know mine was transected and I am glad

that the SLD is one complication I will not have to worry about!!!

I am sure there must be a good reason they still do it the 'old' way, I just

cannot think of what it is.
