Pain after hernia/TT

Hi to All. Happy Tom Turkey Gobbler Day! Hope this day finds everyone

healthy and happy and stress free.

Last Tuesday I went in and had a hernia repaired along with a TT. The hernia

was more complicated than expected. I thought it was the size of a grapefruit

but it was more the size of a cantaloupe and all intake muscles. The doc's

had to cut me open even more higher up than my original open RNY. The sad part

is that the plastic surgeon could not make me as tight as he would have liked

above my new belly button. I wish they would have asked me what my opinion

was first before making that decision for me. I guess that's what happens when

2 surgeons are working together.

I don't know why but it seems this surgery is really hard on me. I'm still

on heavy pain meds because someone must have let a truck roll over me. Some

hours I feel the pain will never subside. Usually I can do a mind over matter

thing, but not this time. Does anyone have any advise for me? Is this normal?

Will I ever get better? Did anyone ever sleep in their binder? Also, the

doc kept the drain tube in because it got stuck and was leaking from the side.

Yuk!

The pain from the TT is normal discomfort which is tolerable. I'm just

curious as to why the hernia got so big and out of control and to cause so much

pain.

Any advise would help.

I hope everyone has a great day. I'll try to stay away from the sweet

potatoes. My all time favorite!

Hugs to All.
