Connie - Thank you so much for sharing your flower story with me. I'm

the Diane from Idaho, by the way. This past Tuesday was my OD

appointment to get the rest of my hardware on. At the end of my

appointment, my OD handed me a bottle of wine, and told me to use it

for medicinal purposes. I was so surprised to get a gift from my OD -

what a sweetie! (he's also a very handsome and tall man). Well,

Thursday I had to go back in because one of my o-rings and part of

the wire had popped off the bracket. He saw me coming into the

adjustment room and asked if everything was okay; I told him what

happened, and he just smiled, saying that I loved coming to his

office. LOL! Now that I think of it, I think I'm going to enjoy

seeing him every four weeks! // Connie: a question: Is it unusual for

the teeth to move within the first week of braces installation? My

gap between my two upper front teeth is closing already - is this

Hmpf!!!

I gave my surgeon a bottle of most wonderful champagne -- La Grande

Dame, which he had told me he adored.

It was supposed to be a bribe for him to tell me, after most of the

ortho had been done, that I didn't need the surgery. (He'd told me

that happened once before, with my own ortho.)

Hmpf!!!

He took the bubbly wine, thanked me, drank it -- and then took my

lower jaw apart and put it back together again.

I think I'm still owed a bottle of nice wine, somewhere down the

pipe.

But he did do a most excellent job. And wasn't even wiped out by the

bottle when he hit the O.R..

Not unusual at all: Is it unusual for

I had a lower front incisor that I thought I could not stand, when

the brackets and wires were first installed. The assistants later

gave me wax, which saved it.

By the time I went for my first month appointment, my ortho was

calling his techs over to see. He'd had an open coil spring ready to

install, but said " We're not gonna need that. Look how it's moved! "

My teeth are very obedient to pressure.
