My name is Debbi, and I had open rny Nov 2002. I am 14 months postop

and have only lost 72 lbs. I stopped losing weight at 5 months

postop. I saw my surgeon today for my year exam (I know, I am 14

months, but I could not see him in Nov or Dec). He looked over my

file, and he found some pictures of an endoscopy I had at 3 months

post op, and he saw my stoma was about the size of a half dollar...so

he had his nurse call my insurance and it turns out my insurance will

cover the procedure. He is going to open me up on Feb 19, and stitch

my stoma so it is smaller. I hope the stitches hold, I am getting a

second go at this, and by golly will do liquids for weeks to make

sure my stoma is healed well.
