golden ale substitution?

Hi All,I found a recipe that I am interested in trying.  Gnocchi with Rabbit and Golden Ale Ragoûthttp://www.jamesbeard.org/index.php?q=recipes/show/gnocchi_with_rabbit_and_golden_ale_rago%C3%BBt

The recipe (in full below) calls for " 1 1/2 cups golden ale, such as Duvel " What can I use as a substitute?For Gnocchi I was planning on using the recipe from SCD Recipe .com
