Hi Tonya,

So you got your hooks 6 weeks in advance like I did. They really are

not that bad and you will get use to them rather quickly. I think the

upper hooks drove me crazy for the first few days and after that I was

fine. The main problem I had with the hooks and still do is food

getting trapped in them.

Yes, I did have both tubes through the nostrils which were removed on

the 2nd day. They really didn't bother me and the removal was so quick

that I really didn't feel it much at all. My nose did bleed a little

after the removal, but not bad at all. You will probably have some

soreness for a short period after the removal, but nothing painful. You

will be thankful you have the tubes in to help you breathe and from

getting sick. They really helped me and I never got sick in the

hospital. I think I may have gotten a little nauseated after the tube

removal which was easily cured with a tablet the nurse brought for me to

take.

Hope this helps & best of luck to ya,
