, Dad's girlfriend clearly has never had any issues with jaw

pain of her own. She probably has those gorgeous white teeth that

sail from one 6 months to another, easily, too, without need of

repair.

Perhaps she may live so long as to understand aches and pains

better. They're a damned nuisance (pardon my French here) and

difficult to manage, but they tend to go along with living long

and/or well. It's amazing how the passage of time can teach us that

we don't know as much as we think we do.

Me: I'm nasty enough to hope that your dad finds a better quality

girlfriend, also with good teeth. Anybody who judges another's need

for medical assistance, assuming that qualified docs agree and we're

not dealing with neurosis here -- and even if we're dealing with

neurosis, there are docs who serve those needs, too -- is below the

pits, in my book.

Perhaps someday she will be so fortunate as to develop a bit of

osteoporitic collapse in her spine, arthritis, a need for a knee or

hip replacement. And use of a cane, maybe, or a walker. Then you can

shower her with flowers and candy and balloons and tell her how much

you sympathise with her pain. (Shall we go to liposuction here, or a

painful facelift, too? Maybe a full mouth replacement would be

appropriate.)

As I said: I'm nasty enough to hope that your dad finds a better

quality girlfriend.

My meow for the day.

And hey -- my money says you'll do fine, with the help of expert

professionals and care. Good wishes, honey.
