Barbara Jean,

You state things very well. You are right---the DS surgery is a good surgery

too. No one doesn't say it isn't. It just isn't the only one. And like you

said, every surgery performed affects people differently. But one thing for

sure, most likely protein and vitamins will play a part in ANY wls surgery of a

persons future if they are to remain healthy. Also you stated, no real stats

over 5 years out. I think that would be the key---over five years or even a lot

more time probably gives the best stats on what will happen overall. I just hate

to see anyone (regardless of which type of wls) take a careless attitude that " I

can do anything and it will be all right " . As I said before, I surely believe

someone like this will eventually " crash and burn " . None of us are invinsible no

matter what surgery we have.

Barbara Jean girl---you have a way with words---you got what people were trying

to say!
