I have what may be a silly question. I know that when you are working out

and especially weight training..you are supposed to be sure to eat a certain

amount of carbs. Can veggies and fruits be those carbs?? I'm not sure how this

works. I do not eat breads, etc and want to know if I can count veggies as an

effective carb to eat while working out. I do know that nuts are also

recommended.

The main thing need for working out overall is protein. Then, right after

working out, you should have some carbs mixed with protein because working

out tears the muscle down, and then it rebuilds itself. If there's no carbs

available, the muscles eat themselves. So, something like a sandwich is

good after working out, if it's lifting weights.
