- Check out www.vitalady.com. She has a gazillion types of proteins and

flavors to choose from. You can even buy single serving samples so you can try

and see which ones you like.

My husband like Champion Nutrition Banana Scream. I am a Champion Nutrition

Chocolate person. We both mix them ONLY with water. No milk at all.

Hope this information helps.

Protein Questions for the Experts

Hi,

I am 15 mos. out down -160 and am 20lbs. from goal. I had RNY 100cc

bypassed. I am 5'6 " . If all of this helps.

I need to start the protein shakes. I know I should of been doing it

along time ago but it is time to start on the band wagon.

What I need to know is the following:

I don't like Chocolate what is the best brand of protein shake to

buy?

How many shakes should I use?

Do the calories count towards the 1000 cal. a day my Dr. says I need?

Do you eat as well as do the shakes?

How many carbs should I have?

How muuch sugar grams per meal?

How many cal. should the shakes be per serving?

If you could answer these for me that would be great.. I have to

make the right shake decisions because I am a single mom and on very

low income.

Thank you all for all your help

You can get samples from Vitalady.com because all of us have different

tastes. She is also a wealth of information about what we need.

Yes, go to vitalady.com and order samples that sound good. ALSO, if

you don't belong to the Protein group at yahoo, please check it

out. I believe the database or files sections has surveys where we

voted for our favorite flavors. There is a lot of info. in the

archives also. Good non-chocolate flavors are Banana Scream by

Champion Nutrition; and the Nectars by Syntrax. A lot of people love

vanilla and " doctor " them up w/syrups. One is available at Costco

called Pro-Rated. But, go to the yahoo group too for great info.

Many posters from here are there also.

www.OSSG-Protein-subscribe If that doesn't work, go

to yahoo groups home and search.

Questions:

1. 2 or more a day @30 gr. each

2.Don't know abt. calories. I don't count them. Make good choices

such as protein, non refined carbs, veges and a little fruit.

3.Yes, eat as well as shakes to get a well-rounded diet. The shakes

will fill you up also and help you avoid refined carbs and sugar.

4.Carb grams-I'm not sure. Sugar - single digits is safest.

5.Mix the shakes w/water--not milk. The shakes Vitalady offers are

the best in the calorie dept. I never count calories, so I don't

know.

Vitaladies website has a wealth of info. on it to help you.

Good Luck!

Thanks,

Diane

Diane, just a reminder that we are not allowed to promote members

businesses on list. It's an easy rule to forget, since so many of us

are on both this and the Protein list, but it's led to far too many

flame wars on here. You can, however, email the person privately

with the suggestions.

Thanks,

Just a reminder, folks, that we can not promote members businesses

here on the Grad list. Here's a quote from our home page:

>>Under no circumstances may anyone promote commercial products in

which they, or other list members, have a personal financial stake.

Under no circumstances may anyone detract from commercial products in

which another list member has a personal financial stake. Messages

posted to this board are subject to moderation by the list-owner at
