Guest guest Posted December 8, 2009 Report Share Posted December 8, 2009 Hi you guys, Well I went into surgery at around 8:30 pm on Sunday night. They started around 10ish. Everything went perfect and the surgeon said the new lungs are amazing. They took my breathing tube out yesterday at 5:30pm because I was already doing so good and breathing on my own. Right now I am sitting up in the chair next to the bed. My incions and chest tubes hurt and I have an epidural. I am real sleepy and keep dozing on and off. But let me tell you how happy I am to be Alive and breathing. WHen the pain gets bad I just tell myself.....I woke up so dont complain. I thimk I have read all of your postings. Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts. Tomorrow should be moving out of the ICU. YEAaaaa ! I cant wait to get the chest tubes out. Keep on praying I still need them.
