Joni - we stayed at the Hawthorn Suites (about 15 minutes from Dr. R's

office) and there were several pets on my floor. I booked through Med-Stay

and the rate was $55 per night for a one bedroom. Don't know about the pet

deposit.

Cheryl - I receive the e.mails as a digest (can't handle sometimes 100 or

more e.mails in a day). If I want to respond or post I do one of two things

- I either just click on " reply " and in the subject box only the digest

number will come up. Or, if like now, I have several things to say I use a

new " write " screen and then add my own subject line. I am on the postop list

also and I read those posts from the web and that is what I prefer - hey Dr.

R - are you ever going to allow us to view the posts on the web again???????

For the person asking how long to stay in Durham - the official response is

stay the week. However as you may be aware that varies with the individual.

I personally went to clinic on Tuesday, surgery on Wednesday and drove the

6-1/2 hours (well my husband drove) back home on Sunday, back to work on

Monday and was doing well. However, I was prepared to stay if I had any

feelings that everything wasn't going well.
