St Paddy's Ideas

I'm posting to both pecanbread and scdrecipe_creators.

With Saint 's day coming up, I'm looking for some fun

green/Irish foods. I thought about shepherd's pie, but we are still

too early in for cauilflower (we are about stage 2). I'm about to

reintroduce avocadoes to see if he tolerates those yet. (we've tried a

couple of times several months ago). If he can do avocadoes, then I

have a bunch of green recipes I can try.

I thought about making some Irish cutout cookies (using nut butter

instead of flour). I was wondering if anyone had ideas for green

icing. I do have a dehydrator and was thinking of cooking and pureeing

some green veggies and then drying them, pulverizing them, adding

honey and spreading it on. Does anyone have any easier ideas?

Is artificial food color legal? If so, any brand or just some?

St Paddy's is a big day for my family. It was my Mom's Birthday (She

passed several years ago), and all us kids get together and celebrate

her memory. We're also of Irish descent and have been to Ireland.

Usually we have corned beef and cabbage with various sides. This year,

however, I'm going introduce some new SCD legal foods into the mix if

I can come up with some. I'd like them to be something 'normies' might

be able to eat too.

Oh, one more question. I was going to make limeade. Any good recipes?

Thanks,

Sharon in OH,

wife of Adam -Crohn's 2004, SCD since June 2006
