Many nutritionists and dieticians are not familiar with SCD.

You can track nutrients free by opening an account at:

www.fitday.com

Reaction at the start is typical and caused by the die off of bad bacteria as

they are debiwd

the foods they thriced on.

The website contains a guideline for introducing foods according to how well

most

children here tolerate them. It is called " The Stages " and is not mandatory.

See especially, " The Inyro Diet " and " Beyond the Intro Diet. "

Elaine stated the diet should be nutritious and also do not deny carbohydrates

as the diet

concerns itself with choosing the right and digestible ones.

Cheryl,

I know a certified nutritionist in California who is familiar with SCD, and is

willing to work with families who are doing the diet for kids with autism....

although she is not especially well-versed in autism or other bio-medical

treatments. She is not in SOUTHERN Cal, though.... she's in the Bay area. Let

me know if you'd like her contact information.

Nutritionalist in So Cal who knows SCD

My son had such a reaction to starting SCD that I know it is the right

thing to do but thought I need a nutritionalist to make sure he's

getting all the right nutrients. Anyone know of a nutritionist in So

Cal?

Thanks,

Cheryl
