Guest guest
After several years on a GF diet in which I did well, I began having gastric problems and generally low blood pressure which gets down to 87/48-52. During these drops my legs felt weak, I felt fuzz-brained and sometimes too tired to get out of bed. I began reacting to more than 100 foods. My internist didn't help. My naturopath ran stool tests which predictably showed no gluten problem, but did show low pancreatic enzyme, & several bacteria including C.Diff & a general overgrowth in bacteria. They prescribed a ten-day course of Metronidazole to kill off these bacteria, followed by pro-biotics, pancreatic enzymes, and Ayurvedic Holy-Basil to regulate the blood pressure. In the past three weeks, I have been feeling well--really well! No more dragging around, no more sinking spells and I've been gradually adding back foods without reactions. (not gluten, but it's a big help) Am not in bay area and don't have any recommendations, but seeing your hypotension and gastric problems, I thought my treatment might be of interest. (Just before my symptoms escalated, I had helped my father for a month following colon surgery and visited my mother in her nursing home just before they had a c.diff outbreak--my naturopath speculates that this might be where I picked up the bacteria in my gut.) Guest guest
While the person I see is not a doctor, I have been having great luck with her. I started seeing Flavia Kreis, a Certified Nutritional Consultant in Mt. View, about 3 months ago. I have tons of food allergies and she works on treating digestive imbalances with metabolic and digestive enzymes and then treats and clears the allergies. I was stunned when she eliminated my cat allergy that I have had for years! She uses acupressure and bioenergetics, along with the enzymes and the most knowledgable nutritional information I have ever received. She is now helping me to diagnose a possible thyroid imbalance that none of the medical doctors I saw identified and offers protocols for autoimmune disorders. I likely have fibromyalgia and am hoping to explore the protocol for that that she has. If any of you are interested in learning more about what she does, check out the book "The Food Allergy Cure" by Dr. Ellen Cutler or attend her free lecture at East West Books in Mt. View on Thursday Feb 9. She is also doing a workshop that weekend on doing self clearings of allergies, also at East West. Criss
