Guest guest
i can honeslty say that as a pre op i had no idea how hard the 1st weeks would be. i am now post op and convincing my brain that my stomach is full has been challenging. i am adjusting. if i could have had an MGB on my brain as well i'd been ok. but the brain takes a while to forget the habit i've had for 27 years. i still face these challenges every day. but it's not something that changes over night. i can understand why someone would ask about the " diet coke " hey i think i asked that question too. but i didnt get the same response the person that posted that did. it isnt the sugar, its the carbonated water that blows you up that is the greatest risk i suppose. i also have to admit that i was disappointed i could no longer have diet coke. but like JON, he was asking about the spicey foods, we never know unless we ask. no question is a dumb one. waiting till your post op and turning up a soft drink is. i always hope this is an open forum here, short of someone being rude and nasty to us. but everyones experience is different with everything. mine was ok. but whoever wrote that story whether fiction or non-fiction, said her peace and i assume is gone. hope everyone still loves me, not agreeing or disagreeing but posting my personal battle with my new body. bobbie mgb 10-16-00 21 lbs gone
