Low Sugar Diet

I was recently told that my 3 yo GFCF son was high in yeast and

needed to be on a yeast-free, low-sugar diet. I understand the yeast-

free part of it, but how much sugar is low-sugar(in grams)? Is this

just refined sugar or does this include natural sugars? I've heard

several people say they use honey instead of sugar, but is that

because it is natural or because it is lower in sugar? I NEED juice

to hide some of my son's supplements in, so I fresh-squeezed some

lemonade sweetened with stevia. Unfortunately, my son wouldn't drink

it. He doesn't seem to like the stevia taste. I thought I could

fresh-sqeeze some orange juice because it's already sweet, but would

this be too much sugar? Lastly, I asked our DAN doctor about

Nystatin and he said just to wait until we go back for a follow-up

appt in 3 weeks. I know my son's probably had this yeast problem

for a long time, but waiting another 3 weeks bothers me. So I have

him on a probiotic while I'm working on his diet. Has anyone else

been told to wait to take Nystatin? The good thing this yeast-

free/low sugar diet is that it makes the whole GFCF diet seem

manageable!
