Greg, I'm so sorry to hear you have shingles, yes it is a pain in it's own class, like 20 on a scale of 1-10,I will be praying for you, I have not had them, but have taken care of those with it.  My son at around the age 10 got it, he told me how it hurts from the front clear through to the back, since I knew what it looked like, I took him in right away, so got some medicine, oral and ointment, and it didn't spread to far, or last to long, he is now 22 and still has scars.  I hope you were able to get in and get something fairly quick.  Stress they say is what brings that on, and it's not always external stress like school, it could be physical stress, like you fell on that area.   But mental stress is a biggie, never fails, we feel better, and step out of our comfort zone, and wham, were hit again.

Can you do the work at home, so you don't fall behind in your studies?  Well you are for sure in my prayers. Take care. MarlaJust one day at a time, That's all God ask of us. for there never really is a tomorrow, as that too

I have been off pred. since Dec 25. I enrolled in college to regain my memory that I lost when I had a possible stroke. Did my first week of classes and the this weekend I came down with " Shingles " they came from when I had chicken pots as a child. Now what really is screwy is the developed on the left side of my mouth and face. A new world of pain. I have a saying if you are in pain then you, are alive. Well I really do know that I am still alive. I hope all are blessed and I pray for healing for all.

I get the shingles when I am under pressure or really nervous. Doc gave me Gabapenten for the pain. and a cream for the itching.
