Guest guest
Hello, My daughter will graduate of DOC band in 3 weeks. She will be 7 months and 1 week at that time and I hope her plagio will be almost gone. Her clinician says that there may be some residual flatness left, which is ok with us. I would like to know if anyone experienced plagio getting worse after the band. My daughter is sitting well and is rarely on her back during the day. She has torticollis which we are working or resolving with our physical therapist.
Guest guest
MY son appeared to get worse after removing his band, but most of the change was worsening of facial asymmetry caused by his unresolved torticollis, as opposed to worsening head shape/plagio. Don't worry too much though, because most people have great results after completing treatment. As for our son, we continued PT and also put him in a TOT collar to help with the torticollis. We've seen partial improvement, but it looks like he'll always have some facial asymmetry. There is a surgery to correct the torticollis, but his isn't bad enough to qualify. FYI, there's also a torticollis board that is very good if you need it. Best of luck! > > Hello, > My daughter will graduate of DOC band in 3 weeks.
