Hi all

I am a mercury toxic 38 yr old with MCS and extensive food

allergies. The food allergies have improved slightly since I

started chelating 2 years ago. I recently stopped chelating for a

few months due to increased chemical senstivities. My fear is

that my liver cannot handle the mercury and other metals coming

out and is becoming increasingly overburdened.

I have never really used heavy-duty enzymes except for some

plant-based enzymes I used a year ago--I think the brand was

Pioneer Wellness Digestive Enzymes. I have always been

curious about Houston's enzymes but am so nervous to try them

because I was once told that I was allergic to Aspergillus, and I

believe that is what is used to create those enzymes.

Can anyone recommend which ones I should try if I were going

to experiment, and how I might determine if I have an allergy to

the enzyme? They have several different kinds and I just don't

know what to start with. I think that the enzymes are part of the

missing link for my digestion and I am anxious to see some

progress...it has been a while since I had some decent

digestion...

Thanks all, and happy new year!!

If you are concerned about Houston's product ingredients, you can

try to speak to Devin Houston directly. Is he here or on the Autism

Biomedical Discussion group, folks?

I know he is a contributing member on , another

group. Then, another way is to contact his website directly!

I believe he has been happy to speak to people in the past.

So far as I know, all plant-based enzymes are cultured on Aspergillus.

The Aspergillus is purified out of the final enzyme product, and most

people who are allergic to Aspergillus do just fine with enzymes,

altho there are some who still have problems.

I use HNI Zyme Prime and No-Fenol for myself, they work very well for me.

It depends what foods you usually eat, which enzymes would work best

for you.

I have seen him here and on ABMD only occasionally.
