Guest guest
Hi everyone! I'm so excited to have found this group. We just got referral from our pediatrician to have our 4.5 month old son fitted for a helmet for positional plagiocephaly. I'm going through some serious mommy guilt right now and some support from people who have gone/are going through the same thing might help to lift my spirits a bit! Hope to get to know you all soon
Guest guest
My son also goes to Cranial Technologies in Paramus and everyone there is wonderful. My insurance would not cover them, but I felt it was worth every penny--and my son is in his 2nd DOC Band for severe brachy. I hope it all goes well for you. Robyn > > Hi! Guest guest
Hi there and ! I am also new here and my little guy is going in tomorrow for his 3D imaging at CT, he will have his band on the 12th, at 5 months 1 day old. At his 4 month appt. on March 16, I asked our ped. if she thought his head was kinda flat and she agreed, but I am the one who brought it up. She suggested I go see the Starband people, and I actually went to CT the next week because 1. they are in my insurance, and 2. a bit closer and 3. I have a friend who had a good experience with them. I am feeling the guilt of, "how did I not notice this sooner, or, not know what to do?". He is going to have to go to PT to work on his torticollis. Good luck to you both in this crazy new world of helmets!! I am heading over to www.blingyourband.com to figure out how to decorate this little guy! Christy > >> > Hi everyone!> > > > I'm so excited to have found this group. Guest guest
Hi , welcome to the group. My daughter had brachy a few years ago. She's now 4. She wore a starband and did great. It was much easier than I expected it to be. She wore it for a long time (5 months), but it seems like no time at all now that she's older. I'm sure your time will go quickly too. Keep us posted. -christine sydney, 4yrs, starband grad > > Just wanted to introduce myself! > > > I'm -- and my daughter is Sophia. She's *almost* 8 months. > > Sophia was just recently diagnosed with Brachycephaly, and was evaluated at Cranial Tech in Clinton, CT. She was found to have " moderate " brachycephaly with some facial asymmetry. We are in the process of getting her into a DOC Band. They estimate that she'll need it for approx 3 months. I found this group on the Cranial Tech webpage, and am hoping to find some support and info! > > We live in Danbury, CT -- any families near that area? > > Thanks in advance for everything! > > Val (and Sophia, too!) >
Guest guest
Hi . I'm in CT too, a half hour east of Hartford. My 9-month-old just got his band yesterday and will also be wearing it for 3 months, but for moderate plagio. Maybe I'll run into you in the office sometime! > > Just wanted to introduce myself! > > > I'm -- and my daughter is Sophia.
