Mcs fiasco re french fries

Good morning to all! I called Mcs this morning regarding the controversy about wheat being an ingredient in the french fries. This is what " Jim " told me:

Wheat is part of the flavoring that is in the oil that the french fries are " par-fried " in before being sent to Mcs. However, the french fry manufacturer states to Mcs that all wheat protein is taken out of the oil before the french fries are " par-fried " in it. Then the fries are shipped to Mcs where they are fried in their g-f oil. I insisted that I needed to know the name of the french fry manufacturer to ask more questions. " Jim " took my name and phone number for a follow-up call from Mcs. If anyone else is interested in calling Mcs to voice their concern, their phone no. is 1-800-244-6227.

The only other point I made was that there were tens of thousands of celiacs in the United States that dine at Mcs with their families and that I believed this constituted a fair amount of business for Mcs.

Geez, another comfort food taken away for now - however, I have discovered Kinnikinnick's Ktoos chocolate sandwich cookie that tastes just like an Oreo - I honestly would not be able to tell the difference between the cookies. I consoled and comforted myself by pouring a tall glass of cold milk, twisted open a delicious " Oreo " Ktoos chocolate sandwich cookie and started eating the filling out of the middle before devouring the cookie…ahhh... memories!
