Mike, I'm trying to get in touch with Tracie, our eye authority until she left the group. I'll let you know what she says about your situation.

I do have an appointment with my eye Dr Thursday so he can have a look @ my left eye, and hopefully refer me to an opthalmomlogist (as neccessary). Mike dont apologize for asking. I too have had vision problems. I am also new to all of this and dont know much. Just my past experiences. I lost my periferal (spelling) vision and depth perception in my right eye because of spinal fluid build up in my head that damaged my optic nerves. Mention to the dr about checking you optic nerves to make sure they are not swollen. I continuously have blurred vision due to a lot of inflammation in my eyes. Also ask the dr to check for that. You are not alone we are all in this together. I have realized that when I think that I am complaining, it is actually helping someone else to see that they are not alone and vice versa. Keep us posted on what the doctor says.

I don't have the eye surgery info, but I do have something else. Just because the rest of us have issues, doesn't make yours a bit less hard to deal with, and we can still have empathy, offer any help we can, and have your back. And by the way we are all sincere friends, which means we don't mind listening, helping, and being there for each other. You definitely are "not" bothering anyone. Please post often, we like hearing from our family and friends.

Thanks to all 4 the responses...(I have realized after the fact . my spelling

may not be any better than my eyesight lol sorry)

I gave been to see my Optometrist, who - having examined my left eye (with a

digital image of interior of said offending eye) that my Optice nerve is

inflammed - Optic neuirits. All other tissues within same eye seem to be

'intact'. At this point he is trying to set me up with an Opthalmologist in

Niagara Region to try to determine a course of action ie tratment. I'd be

curious if I might be put thru an MRI as part of the exam to check for lessions

.... but we'll see when the time comes (pun intended). Thanks again to all

btw Happy Easter to all :-) Don't worry 'bout eating too much chocolate - just

worry 'bout it being real chocolate

Hello folks, (yes - its me - again )

So - as of today (sunday) I have been to see my Optometrist, an opthalmologist,

and a Neurologist. The Opthalmologist has indicated Optic neuritis, and seems

quite concerned that I get an MRI done on (whats keft of ) my head. A

(previously identified) Pituitary Micro-Adenome may have enlarged and may be

compressing on my optic nerve, or an occurence of an isolated OPticNerve N-sarc

- but the MRI will gave to show what it may be. My eyesight hasnt gotten worse,

but not much better. Neither mt family or myself have noticed any other

functional deficits associated with my original Dx of NeuroSarc, Just my

euesight.,,so her e I sit waiting for an MRI Appointment to be made. If the

issue is the Pit-Adenoma being enlarged (encroaching compressing the optic

nerve), that would pose issues of its own (transfenoidal pit- resection ? ), if

its Sarcoid @ my optic nerve - more steroids - I'll just have to wait for the

MRI and the neurologist to interpret it.

For now, nothing to do but wait, (I'll just have another cup of tea)

Hope everyone is managing

regards

Mike
