Guest guest
I have been on a Gluten Free diet for 36 years. I have never had the dentist take any special precautions, and I have never had a problem. The only thing I do different at the dentist is rinse thuroughly whenever possible. Guest guest
When I take my celiac kids to the dentist, I make sure that all products used are gluten-free, just as I would any other item that goes or has the potential to go into their mouths. A month or so in advance I ask for a list of all products used. Then I contact the manufacturer to make sure that the item is GF. The only problem I have ever had are products by OralB (they refuse to divulge any ingredient information as it is proprietary information and don't recommend their products for celiacs) and the revealer tablets (the red colored tablets that the kids chew to show how well they brush their teeth; at the moment I can't remember who makes them).
