Our daughter, Lily, will be 5 months on November 24. She was evaluated at

CranialTech, but we found out later that they are not in network.

Hanger Prosthetics & Orthotics in Reston, Virginia is in our network. From

everything I have read, you can largely count on the CranialTech people to know

what they are doing since they deal only in this product, but elsewhere you just

don't know because experience is everything.

So, I called Hanger Prosthetics & Orthotics in Reston, Virginia to get some more

information about the two orthotists they have there. Apparently one has been

in practice for over 25 years, the other for over 10, and on average they handle

4-5 helmets per month, sometimes more as needed.

It seems to me that the length of experience is a good thing. I don't know how

to rate the monthly number. Thoughts?

Has anyone else had any experience with them that you can share?

Thanks,

We had a consult with them and we were at first comfortable with them and they are cheaper than CT (we had to pay out of pocket) but when we went in for the scan and to move forward we got really uneasy. We trusted our instincts and went with CT and we couldn't be happier! They know what they are doing as all they do are helmets, about 50 a month, opposed to the handful Hanger does a month.Go to your consult with Hanger and go with your gut feeling. Just remember you get what you pay for. :)Good luck!!, 15 months, DocBand since 9/24/09On Nov 16, 2009, at 3:28 PM, "schmeez99" <schmeez99@...> wrote:
