Please see information below about 3 upcoming webcasts being

presented by the Texas Association of Community Health Centers. These

are specifically aimed at health centers that are not based in Texas, but

who serve Texas migrants. Webcasts are free, but require advance

registration. I encourage you to learn more about the process for

becoming an enrolled Texas Medicaid provider and billing Texas Medicaid.

April 28th: Texas Migrant Care Network: Overview of the

Texas Medicaid Provider Enrollment Process for Out-of-State FQHCs

This session will provide an overview of the Texas Medicaid provider enrollment

process targeting out-of-state FQHCs that are interested in becoming Texas

Medicaid providers. By enrolling as a Texas Medicaid provider, out-of-state

FQHCs can be reimbursed their PPS rate from Texas Medicaid for health care

services they provide to Texas migrants families. This webinar will provide

participants with an overview of the application, enrollment process and

highlight common issues and challenges encountered by centers in the

FQHCs that are enrolled, or are interested in enrolling, as Texas Medicaid

providers and serve Texas migrants and their family members. This webinar will

provide participants with information on how Texas Medicaid is administered,

including information on Medicaid managed care, provider responsibilities, how

to verify client eligibility, limitations and factors that may affect client

eligibility, FQHC benefits and limitations, covered services, billing and

appropriate coding for EPSDT, acute care, and Women’s Health Program

claims and verify client eligibility using an internet based system,

TexMedConnect, to help expedite claims to Texas Medicaid. This session will

offer an excellent opportunity for newly enrolled out-of-state FQHCs (or

centers interested in enrolling in Texas Medicaid) to get a better

understanding of Texas Medicaid FQHC billing and claims processing. (Target
