Dear Nina,

I, like many Mom's felt the exact same way before my daughter got her

band, but I am happy to say the transition was very smooth. My daughter has not

fussed about it even once and she has had her band on -wow- 4 weeks already!!!

The first day I was nervous about bringing her out with it, but once we did go

out , it is not big deal. We are out and about every day and usually people just

talk to her like usual, only a handful of times have people said, oh I have seen

some babies with helmets, what are they for, but they have always been very nice

about it. Don't ever feel like you are alone- this is a great place to vent,

get support and advice!!! I think we all get emotional about our precious

babies, but the are very resilient and don't miss a beat- I know I was the one

who was a mess about my daughter, but she honestly didn't even blink an eye!
