PLEASE HELP !!!! VERY ITCHY HEAD !!!

Hi AllMy son has been in band for almost 7 weeks now. He started scratching his itchy head from past 4 weeks. I have switched his baby shampoo to aveeno hoping his itchiness woul dgo away. It seems he has developed a chronic itchiness now. In his last appointment , when I mentioned about it to the clinician at CT, she said its normal . But , it seems to be very inconvenient for my baby. He can not stop himself from scratching. When his helmet is off, he can not stop scratching hs head even for a SINGLE second. With his helmet on, the poor baby keeps scratching on his helmet itself and i can see how uncomfortable he is . He shows it all the time. I noticed his scalp geting very dry especially above the neck. I also noticed his lymph nodes at the neck getting enlarged. I have a well check appointment with his PED on NOv 3rd and I would bring it

up with his DR about this.Can any one please tell me if you ever had this situaton and what worked for your baby ? Please help. Is there anything I can buy from the store , like a shampoo or oil? Can I take off helmet for half a day and see if that would improve anything. Please let me know . I will be checking my emails every hour for your responses. Thanks Chanda
